With more than 70 years of combined experience, Ternion Bio’s management team offers strong and complementary expertise in start-up companies, worldwide operations and scientific research.

J. Kyle McCue, CEO and co-founder

Kyle McCue has more than 12 years of experience in high-technology start-ups, including executive management, sales, marketing, Internet architecture and high-technology operations. Before embarking on his journey into the world of Green Technology, Mr. McCue served as vice president of Professional Services for Virtual CSR, Inc., where he was successful in creating and managing a new customer-facing process.

Prior to Virtual CSR, Mr. McCue worked with Latitude Venture Partners, where he served as executive vice president. He also served as executive vice president of several of Latitude Venture Partners’ other subsidiaries, with active management roles in sales, marketing, customer service and customer retention.

Before that, Mr. McCue co-founded and was CEO of HealthEquinox, developing products within the health and fitness industry including nutritional supplements, fitness systems and an Internet technology for the fitness industry. Prior to HealthEquinox, he co-founded eHealthco, Inc., a health and fitness Internet portal, serving as the president and CEO.

During the years prior to these ventures, Mr. McCue worked as a technologist and network architect for leading Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups. These positions included lead architect at Corio, Inc., a leading Application Service Provider (ASP) in the area of e-commerce development, as well as technical consulting services, network architecture and Internet architecture for companies such as MCI, IBM, LSI Logic, Sun Microsystems and Cadence Designs.

Mr. McCue started his career in the United States Army as a communications engineer.

Chris Schuring, COO and co-founder

Chris Schuring brings to Ternion Bio an extensive 30-year career in the technology field, with advancement into executive management. He has been instrumental in the evaluation and selection of technologies that were responsible for revenue generation and capture in many organizations, yielding significant investment returns. He also has proven himself in the area of budget management and project administration.

Mr. Schuring held key management positions at six start-up firms, in both strategic and tactical areas, and he consulted and held staff positions with Internet start-up companies such as eHealthco.com, BigMachine.com, Krynex, Strio, XCF Tech, FiveStar Medical, Gpower and GenUTech.

In addition to his start-up experience, Mr. Schuring has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Litton, Memorex and Signetics. Currently he is working in the solar field as the international director of sales for Pacific Power Management, where he increased the sales force and subsequent sales volumes by more than 400 percent per year.

Included in his experience is the development of international operations in Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom and Germany, plus domestic operational development in New York and California. He has had training in several quality improvement programs such as Crosby and Dale Carnegie educational series.

Ron Cain, director of business development

Ron Cain has more than 15 years in business development, finance and sales. He brings to Ternion Bio worldwide experience as well as a fresh look into international business. Most recently, Mr. Cain was a VP-branch manager with First Magnus Financial Corp., overseeing the lease negotiations, office build-out, and hiring of both operations and sales staff.

Prior to FMFC, Mr. Cain worked with First Franklin Financial, rising to the position of sales manager for the Central California region. Mr. Cain’s earlier experience in the mortgage industry stated in 1991 as a loan officer and operations manager with Elliot Ames Mortgage, Inc.

Prior to the mortgage industry, he worked as a business consultant with Malandro Communication of Phoenix and Landmark Education of San Francisco. While at Malandro Communication, he delivered corporate trainings with emphasis on communication-based skills and team building. Mr. Cain also applied his business development techniques, operation manager skills and team-building expertise at Landmark Education.
